Towers

The spectrum of emotions

Thought Towers

Blown glass metal concrete

Born as part of my gallery series on grief, the thought towers convey a spectrum of emotions. I believe there is no “right” way to experience grief. On any given day a person can feel anger, joy, denial, desperation, forgiveness, or even regret. I have found the “stages of grief” have no rules or guidelines to follow. They can blindside you and leave you crumbling. A good month of hard work and self reflection can be crippled by a song on the radio, a smell, a sound; a location. Memories have the ability to break through the walls we have build around our hearts. But a bad day is one bad day. With work and support we learn to rebuild faster each time, giving us more good days. And a good day is a damn good day.

Over time the towers have become a wide variety of shapes and colours, portraying any emotion on any given day.
