When you approach scary and intimidating with humour and love, perspectives change.

It began as a therapeutic exercise to cope with a stressful pregnancy and traumatic birth and turned into a series of delightful characters. While choosing a theme for my son’s nursery, I decided on monsters. Like my journey into motherhood, these monsters could be scary and intimidating, but also cute and cuddly. Soft sculptures turned to glass when I came back to the studio. And in the years that have followed the monster family has grown and taken many forms.
